Singer Taylor Swift performed two concerts in Washington this week in front of screaming fans, but she spent her day Wednesday quietly visiting with wounded soldiers.

The 20-year-old country pop sensation spent three hours visiting with soldiers and their families in the Military Advanced Training Center at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Maryland. Joined by her band and her mother, Swift signed 8x10 photographs of herself for daughters and sons of the wounded veterans. As she left the hospital, she toted a USO t-shirt.
