I was sitting in the dayroom of Sheesley Hall when the first plane hit the North Tower. The kids, freshmen, came back to the dorm shortly thereafter. The second plane hit. The boys were reasonably calm until an idiot on a local Pittsburgh station, maybe in response to Shanksville, began talking about Downtown as a target. The kids then went ballistic and tried to call their parents who worked in Pittsburgh or who lived close to Downtown- Mount Lebanon for example. I spent the rest of the day talking to the boys and trying to calm them down.
