Mr. O'Reilly:
On this evening's show in regard to legalizing drugs you said that intoxication is the greatest cause of child abuse. If that is true, then should we not make the manufacture and consumption of the single most abused drug in the United States illegal? That is, of course, alcohol. Yes we should certainly outlaw booze to protect the children under your standard. Oh, that's right; I forgot. We tried that, and it didn't work. I have read reputable historians who hold that more people started to drink under Prohibition than had ever drunk before. Perhaps Prohibition is not the answer.
